Upcoming Changes and Catch Up

Hello darling members.

Firstly, I want to welcome to all our new members. We are only one member away from 300 - so thank you all for making PennedPaper the success it is becoming. And a late merry Christmas, I trust everyone had a good one? Get anything awesome from Santa? Big dinner/lunch? Lots of family and drinking games? And, of course, Happy New Year! Best of luck for the coming year - hope it's as awesome as this one has been/better than the last.

Now, I have a bit to say so we'll start with staff. Over the next few days I'm going to pull the group back together... I've been very slack over the last few weeks so I need to clean a few things up and make a few changes. So, you'll see changes to staff some time in the next couple of days and there are changes to the submission rules coming as well as a contest.

A big thank you is in order for KeanuWantRoomService who has stepped down from the Co-Founder position for personal reasons. Please go tell him he's awesome and thank you for everything down around here. Before going, he kindly wrote up a really helpful news article for all you poets. Please check it out and throw it a fave HERE - and I know it was posted 2 weeks ago... I did pimp it in my own journal but I've been very busy and am only writing this blog now (and not weeks ago) because of this.

If you are an active dA member and are comfortable with commenting perhaps you would like to consider a place on the PennedPaper staff - if you have some time to accept submissions and could put up with my anal retentive nature send ME (not the group) a NOTE and I'll give you the full details.

Remember that from January 1 2011 we will NOT accept any submissions that can already be found in more than SIX other group galleries - this will go down from the current 12. At present we still reject more submissions than we accept because of this rule. Please keep it in mind when submitting. And please submit to the correct folder - it's not hard to do.

There is a contest coming up - which will start some time next month (when I get everything sorted for it).

I know that we are well behind on submissions at present. Please be patient (still) with this as we all know just how busy this time of the year can be. I am also going to catch up on the 'Feedback' folder - remember that you may submit ONE piece a month to this folder to receive in depth feedback from me but it does take me a while to get around to doing the critiques. If you really want something critiqued a.s.a.p. you may send me a note and I'll see about getting it done sooner. You may also submit pieces to go into the groups 'Favourites' folder, so send in pieces by any dA writer that you feel are well written.

I need to update the 'Affiliate News' blog really soon so if you have any news you would like advertised please send us a note and it will be added.
